Welcome to Padiham Performers Society who changed their name from Padiham Pantomime Society in 2009 as they wanted to bring ground breaking shows to Burnley aswell as peform their unique modern pantomimes. The society was originally formed in 2008 by previous members of Greenbrook Pantomime Society who wanted to produce and perform fun, professional looking shows and pantomimes and bring them to Padiham and Burnley.

PPS produced it’s first show “Jukebox A Musical Panto” in January 2009 at Padiham Town Hall. At the time Padiham had no such society that we were aware of, which probably explains the popularity of our first workshop in August 2008 which was attended by over 80 people. From this we encouraged almost 40 children and young adults to develop into the cast we had for Jukebox, and it was a truly remarkable experience. As a Society, we believe that amateur dramactics can offer so much to youngsters today, it helps build confidence, nurtures budding talent, improves communication and co-ordination skills.
In February 2010 we followed up our success of Jukebox The Musical Panto with Aladdin Recycled which received rave reviews from the press and the public. The show was performed at our new home Shuttleworth College, Burnley Road Padiham, Lancashire. BB12 8ST ( Click Here for a guided tour of Shuttleworth ) .
If you are interested in joining a society with a passion for amateur dramatics we would be more than happy to hear from you.
